The Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM Lens is proving to be a popular lens with sports and wildlife photographers. Shooting at 400mm at f/5.6 is not bad at all, if you want faster you will have to spend big. The 100-400 is "L" series quality so its made for outdoor use, the built in Image Stabilistaion will assist with neutralising hand vibration at long focal lengths and help keep the centre of the image sharp. Great long lens without totally breaking the bank.
