Great price! Review by Benny

Cameras Direct must sell a truck load of these a month as they are defiantely the leader on price for this lens. Other retailers couldn't (wouldn't) even try to match the price. The zoom and focus are easy to use, and I would recommend attaching a filter for no reason other than to protect the front of the lens. If you are replacing a 'twin lens' kit with this lens you will notice the weight difference The lens came with front and rear covers and a useful little bag to carry it in - although it really just should be on the front of your camera rather than in your kit bag.

I am a photography student and I have found this lens to be fantastic, I also bought the Canon 5D Mark II with the lens and the combination of the two are unreal. I stepped up from a 450D and you can not compare the two for picture quality and sharpness. I would recommend this camera and lens to any one.

Thank you to the guys at Cameras Direct for all their assistance with my gear.

Cheers .A

Fantastic Lens for stills and video Review by Harrison (Staff)

Having owned this lens for a number of years, I can't speak highly enough of it.

Using it mainly for video work paired with the 5D mk III, I have never had an issue.

The build quality has never been in question, having survived multiple bumps and drops.

I can't recommend this lens enough.

Questions on Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens - Kit Version

  • Question From Ben at 5/01/2016 9:29 AM
    • Hi, can you tell me the difference between the kit version and the standard version of lens available. Does it come with a lens hood and case? Are all lens available as kit version?
      Thanks
    • Hi Ben, The kit version of a lens simply means we have taken it out of a body and lens kit and we sell the lens without the box. It still comes with the full warranty and comes with any accessories that were originally in the box with the lens. Kit versions are available only on some of the lenses and are usually a bit cheaper than the boxed version.
