Canon 50mm f/1.4 USM Lens
The Canon 50mm F1.4 USM Lens is a lens that everyone should have.
The 50mm 1.4 is great quality, it is fast and the quality of thebokeh (out of focus areas) is to die for. 50mm on a full frame DSLR body gives your subjects the same magnification, scale and size as what the human eye.

- Soft lens wide open to 2.8 on crop sensor. Purchase 40mm 2.8 for sharper results. Review by Derek All my reviews (1)

Purchased this lens on a budget and to make use of the wider apertures. Soft lens up to f2.8 and it is hit and miss with focus from 2.8 to wide open. Back focuses on my 60D which is really disappointing and I wish Canon placed micro adjustment in the 60D.
Definitely a better lens when using it on a full frame body like the 6D, sharper photos from f2.
I own the Sigma 35mm f1.4 Art series and it is a beautiful lens, I guess I had high expectations for the Canon 50mm, then again it is a 20yr old lens.
