Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III (Non-USM)
The Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III (Non-USM) is a great beginners lens starting out taking sports wildlife shots and portraiture.
This 75-300mm lens is the III version there have been improvements made to the zoom mechanism to make it smoother, and unlike the USM version of this lens, it uses a DC motor to drive the AF.
The EF 75-300 is the cheapest Canon zoom lens and is best for entry level lens buyers. The author had this lens on an EOS 5 film body more than a decade ago and is very pleased I did when I look back on my children playing in the garden. Memories are priceless.
This lens fortunately is cheap and does the job without any fuss. In summary, cheap Canon lenses are easy on the pocket and whilst its true that the image quality is less it is also true that a lens you have is better than the one you don't
