Canon GPS Receiver GP-E2
Toby from PhotoRec tells you what the Canon GP-e2 is for and how to use it in Geo-Tagging your photos.
The Canon GPS Receiver GP-E2 will insert data such as your longitude, latitude, direction, elevation and UTC (Universal Coordinated Time), into the EXIF data on each photo. It can be used via USB or Hot Shoe on the Canon 5D Mark 3 and the Canon 1D X, and via USB only with the Canon 7D. Please note should you want to use this with 5D Mark 3 or the 7D, you will need to update to the latest firmware.
The Canon GPS Receiver GP-E2 can also be used as a GPS logger, and it can even be used as an electronic compass. Very handy for the photographer who needs to know where his shots were taken.
This Canon GPS Receiver GP-E2 comes with a full warranty in Australia. Pop into our Gold Coast camera store & warehouse or order online. #CamerasDirect, happily helping you take a better #photo and being at your service. Thank you.

Quality Ease of Use Price Value
Used it for a weekend with my 700D. Was used to GPS on my sony HX5V, that needs often 5-10 minutes to find its bearings. this one was better, but the again it is a bulky device you have to carry around.
in the end I did not want it, as I feared that it would more often than not lie at home in a drawer. time has come to get built-in GPS receivers.
