Nikon Lens Kits

What is a Nikon Lens Kit? Is a Nikon Camera Lens Kit the same as a Nikon Lens Kit? .. these are the type of questions that we get asked on a regular basis.

Yes is the answer. The Nikon Lens Kit is the same as a "Nikon Camera Lens Kit".
As a beginner photographer you are looking for the best possible value for your dollar. You are new to photography or upgrading your Nikon DSLR body and looking for another lens, possible a Nikon Kit Lens. ... but you don't want to have to sell your left leg to afford it all.

So to help you buy a new Nikon DSLR with a lens or two, Nikon make what is called a "Kit Lens". A Kit Lens, generally speaking, is a cheaper lens that will allow you to take photos and get to know your Nikon Camera without the big price tag and THEN when you know what type of photos are your fave, then you can upgrade your lens or lenses to better quality lens for a specific style of photography.

Examples of typical Nikon Kit Lenses are Nikon's 18-55mm, the Nikon 55-200mm or Nikon 55-300mm. These lenses may be bundled with a Nikon DSLR, two at a time to form a Nikon "Twin Lens Kit".

These lenses are not necessarily poor quality especially for a beginner. They are usually cheaper than other lenses however while at the same time still allowing the Nikon photography to snap some awesome shots.

When Nikon bundles say the Nikon 18-55mm with for instance, a Nikon D3400 then they call this kit a Nikon D3400 18-55mm Lens Kit. Make sense?
