Cameras Direct is excited and proud to be representing yet another superb DJI Innovations Drone.
What's the big deal about the new (Nov 2016) DJI Phantom 4 Pro? Well the BIG thing is the BIG 1 inch sensor for starters. Add to this the f/2.8 mechanical shutter and we are already streets ahead of the predecessor, the DJI Phantom 4. So don't confuse them!
Next the DJI Phantom 4 Pro has cinema 4k video at 100mbp/s with better compression and a wider dynamic range which looking back at the Phantom 4, was clearly missing.
The improved 4k 60fps brings slow-mo to life way better than better. Remember that you can shoot 20mp RAW images and add a 14fps burst mode (yer on a drone!) and you will have chills running all over your body.
I am not going to ramble on about the other features of the DJI Phantom 4 Pro, I shall let DJI tell you about it this Phantom 4 Pro video. Be prepared to be thrilled.
DJI continues to dominate the Drone / Quadcopter market especially in Australia where Australians have flocked to the now famous drones.
The new (NOV 2016) DJI Phantom 4 Pro will take sales from the Non Pro version (at least until the Phantom 4 price falls) as more and more drone fans join the revolution.
So let's quickly bang up a few differences between the Phantom 4 and the Phantom 4 Pro. The Pro has 20mp as opposed to 12mp for the original. The Phantom 4 Pro has 60fps (thats seriously good) over 30fps 4k video, the Pro has a better battery life (35min over 20ish min), and a better range (remember though you can buy better antennas for both).
Physically the Phantom 4 and the Phantom 4 Pro as the same (in the same body) BUT the Pro has senses on 5 sides as opposed to two. So you can prang it on 1 side only ... you know .. kinda.
The Phantom 4 Pro supports both 2.4 and 5.8 Ghz frequencies so interference is vastly reduced if not eliminated. The Phantom 4 had dual GPS systems but the Pro has dual GPS, IMU and compass redunancy in case of any failure so you can still get your Phantom home.
You will still some what I call "Prop Blur" on some shots but ahhhh who cares. I have to say that in low light conditions I still think that the original Phantom 4 has a nicer image but of course that's in the eye of the beholder and most of them don't really care. So shoot me. Plenty like the Mavic and Pro over the Phantom 4.
Thanks to Tony & Chelsea Northrup for there details comparision of the Phantom 4, Phantom 4 Pro, and Mavic Pro. Makes for interesting viewing.
So which Phantom should you buy? Well as Tony says "the best camera is the one you have with you."#DJIPhantom4Pro #DJIPhantom4ProPrice #DJIPhantom4ProAustralia #Phantom4ProVersusMavicPro
