Nikon 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G VR Lens

An alternative to the Nikon 18-200mm this Nikon 18-300mm G ED VR Lens is the one lens to have if you travel a lot, don't want to have to carry more than one lens around or get sick of changing lenses constantly!

Lets have a quick look at our Nikon 18-300mm video review as Tom talks about most of the juicy stuff and its probably all that you need to understand what this version of the Nikon 18-300mm is capable of doing for you. For more specs and guff, there is a link at the bottom of this page to Nikon's website.

With a wide angle of 18mm and being able to zoom in 16.7x to 300mm, this lens will do pretty much everything! Being a DX lens it has been made with crop sensor cameras in mind, but can be used with FX cameras in DX mode. Also being an AF-S lens, you are able to use this with auto-focus on bodies such as the D3100, or other bodies with no auto-focus motor.

The Nikon AF-S 18-300mm also has built in Vibration Reduction, and VR II at that, to help you take a perfect shot while hand holding, and to make it even sharper in HD videos. You will be able to shoot at up to 4 speeds slower than normal with VR II on.

"I am not sure which Nikon lens I want, please show me the range."

Nikon 18-300 Review by David(staff)
Ease of Use

The Nikon AF-S DX 18-300mm f3.5-6.3 is the lens if you just want an all purpose lens especially for travel. Many customers I have spoken to don't want to keep swapping lenses over to avoid missing that special shot or simply for convenience. It has plenty of zoom, compact and not too heavy. It's reasonably fast in auto focus and the image quality is very good. It can even focus in very close so you could also do some macro work.
