Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art Lens for Canon
We have produced a video review of the Sigma 35mm for you to watch. Might as well be sure before you buy.
Sigma lens for Canon EF & EF-s cameras. The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM A1 Lens is the first lens in the Sigma Art series of lenses, and with a very wide and 9 bladed f/1.4 maximum aperture, it'll be hard not to be creative with this lens! This lens has a HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) which will provide you with a very quick and quiet autofocus, and it has a floating inner focusing system to ensure autofocus is precise.
The lens looks quite different to most othe lenses, with a matte finish, and a special treatment has been given to the lens to make is resistant to lots of use.
This lens can also be paired with a USB dock and Sigma's Optimization Pro software (both purchased separately), allowing you to adjust settings such as focus and update the firmware of the lens, all from your own home rather than sending them back to Sigma.

- Excellent lens Review by Taojones
Ease of Use Price Value Quality
I love the 35mm range and the new sigma 35mm could well be the best available at a great price . Very sharp throughout an excellent lens I highly recommend it.

- The 35mm lens to rule them all. Review by David All my reviews (1)
Quality Ease of Use Price Value
Until recently, if you wanted a fast, autofocus 35mm prime lens for your Canon camera, there was really only one option - the Canon 35mm f/1.4L. This was the missing link in my set of fast primes, but for various reasons I kept putting off buying one. Now I’m glad I did. When Sigma announced this lens and the early tests started rolling in, all bets were off. Given the price, you would expect this lens to be markedly inferior to the 35L. It’s not. This is a great lens. It’s sharp and contrasty, even when shooting wide open. Distortion is almost non-existent. From the look and feel, the build quality is at least as good as the Canon’s. I’ve been told the autofocus is a little slower than the Canon’s, but so far I haven’t noticed any focusing problems. Bokeh looks good. I haven’t yet been able to thoroughly assess how it handles flare (too many rainy days), but so far I haven’t seen any problems. For the price, it’s hard to go wrong with this lens.

Beautifully sharp lens, good for use on Crop or Full Frame, excellent build quality. Lens weight is heavier than you may expect but its worth it.
