The Canon EF 24-70mm f/4.0L IS USM Lens is a Canon lens in the very popular 24-70mm focal length range especially considering the price difference to the 24-70mm f2.8 lens.

If you don't need quite the aperture of the 24-70mm f/2.8, or need image stabilisation, then this lens will be fantastic news for you. Featuring a quite fast f/4 max aperture and IS that allows you to shoot up to 4 stops lower than usual.

The lens has two Super UD and two UD lens elements which will help to remove chromatic aberration around the edges of your shots at the 24mm end, and the body has been made to be weather resistant, helping eliminate dust and moisture getting into the lens. This lens also has a Macro Mode switch, allowing p to 0.7x magnification.
