Rode VideoMic Pro

Update. Rode now has the Rode VideoMic Pro Plus (see the links on this page) which has a number of improvements which are outlined in the video on the "Plus" page and it has a rechargeable lithium ion battery for extreme run time.

The Rode VideoMic Pro has been designed for use with camcorders, DSLR cameras and audio recorders. The VideoMic Pro is a shotgun condenser microphone that will focus on the sound in front of the microphone, and reduce surrounding noises.

The suspension system that comes with the VideoMic Pro will help reduce unwanted vibrations and rumbling. A high pass filter at 80Hz can be turned on which will help remove low end noise like air conditioners and traffic from the recording.

All microphones are warranted for one year from date of purchase. You can extend that to a full ten years if you register online at www.rodemic.com/warranty.

This item required a 9v battery (not included).
