Canon announces the newest in its SpeedLite Flash range, the Canon 470ex. Photographers without a pile of flash experience often struggle to get a good flash photo result even when using a speedlite flash over the pop up flash found on many Canon DSLR's. The new WOW feature of the Canon 470ex is that the flash will meter the setting with a few flashes and then calculate the "best" angle to shoot of the flash for minimal shadow. Now I am yet to see this flash in operation other than on the promo videos, but if it does what it says it can, this new Canon 470ex AI Flash will be on the shopping list of many Canon shooters very soon.
