Overview
Fujifilm GFX 50S Body - Fujifilm Australia Warranty $8598 After $700 Cash Back Given the relationship between Hasselblad and Fujifilm it is no wonder that Fujifilm has now come to the market with the Fujifilm GFX 50S Medium Format (and Mirrorless) camera body. Fujifilm didn't bother developing a full frame they blasted straight to Medium Format. The sensor in the Fujifilm GFX 50S is approximately 1.7 times the size of a full frame sensor. The Fujifilm GFX 50S has 51.4 megapixels, compare that to the 50mp of a Canon 5ds and you can appreciate the size of the pixels in the Fujifilm GFX 50S are much larger. About 1.7x larger in fact. Why are the larger pixels of the Fujifilm GFX 50S important? Well the larger the pixel the less digital noise you would expect and this is clearly true with the Fujifilm GFX 50S. The tonality range of the Medium Format Fujifilm GFX 50S means for example that you have more "blacks" in your shadows which can only mean that the rest of the image has depth, almost 3D depth.
