Drones & Gimbals

October 11 2017. DJI had use all going with they sneakily released a 45 second promo that we all thought was a new drone, it turns out that DJI was about to release a new DJI Zenmuse X7 camera. You will find all of the Zenmuse X7 products in their own category under the Drones and Gimbals dropdown.

The latest edition to the range of Gimbals is the full range of Zhiyun Tech Gimbals. Zhiyun is by the way pronounced Zion (ish). The latest of the Zhiyun Gimbal is the most exciting as far as we are concerned at Cameras Direct. We have been waiting for a Gimbal (that is affordable for the masses) that will hold a DSLR and lens such as the Canon 5d Mark IV / 24-70MM OR Nikon D750 24-70mm (as examples in terms of weight) and deliver smooth 3 way gimbal stability. Enter the Zhiyun-Tech Crane 2. Note that the Crane 2 is NOT the V2. Go to the product page for the Zhiyun Crane 2 gimbal for full specifications and current availability.

13th June 2017 Update. Cameras Direct is pleased to announce that we will be offering you Racing Drones and FPV gear as well as all the spare parts and accessories WITH full Australian warranty, Australian tech-support and of course warranty / paid repair. This is a very exciting progression for us and we hope that you will enjoy all the benefits of an established and keen as retailer in Australia. The new Brands and Models include - Eachine Aurora 100, Walkera FS210 and Walkera QX95 Drones, parts and accessories. Add to this the Eachine VR-007 Pro FPV Goggles and you are rockin.

Now that Rippit @ Helensvale has closed it's doors, Rippit customers are now enjoying the DJI product range, advise and service from Cameras Direct. We welcome Rippit customers with open arms.

Cameras Direct is the DJI Australian stockist to come to for the full range of #DJIDrones. We will be focusing our efforts on DJI as we can get full back up support parts and Australian warranty.

Lets take a look at the DJI Phantom range first.

The DJI Phantom 4 is now taking the world by storm as it replaces all the Phantom 3 range.

The main changes from the range of Phantom 3 to the 4's are .... 1. Tap 2 Fly. 2. Active Track 3. Point of Interest and 4. Crash avoidance technology.

We think its best to let the following playlist do the talking as these guess are out there using these machines day in day out.

The Phantom 4 is also in my opinion much better presented in its glossy white shell. The battery is a larger capacity and you can expect about 10% more flight time if you wish to push it to the limits.

By way of comparison we have assembled the following Youtube playlist mostly about the Phantom3. Still good viewing.

Have a gander at our #DJI Playlist that follows. It contains just a few of the #DJIFilmSchool Youtube videos. WOW.
