DJI Mavic Pro & DJI Mavic Pro Fly More Combo

The DJI Mavic Pro is very easy to learn to fly. When you first start your Mavic Pro for it's maiden flight the Mavic will start in Beginner Mode by default. The Mavic is then limited to fly 20 or 30 metres (sorry I cant recall which) from the controller in any direction.

This Beginner Mode is great as you can learn to make the minor controller toggle movements which the knowledge that even if you make a massive mistake (how I don't know) that the Mavic will not fly off out of control. Use this beginner mode to learn to manoeuvre the drone slowly left, right, to rotate left and right to climb and descend and all slowly. Note that you can make tiny changes with ease and all along the Mavic Pro will be rock solid stable.

Once you have gained your own confidence in the Mavic itself and in your ability to control the Mavic Pro then you can move out of Beginner Mode and fly further afield.

One of the best features of the Mavic Pro from a safety point of view is the knowledge that if all else fails, simply remove your fingers from the toggles allowing the controller to return to neutral/ central settings and the Mavic will simply hover allowing you the time to compose yourself and make the right decision calmly. Remember that a gentle movement of the toggles is often all you need.

I personally recommend that you learn to control your Mavic Pro without using any of the Fly Modes in the App and then you can move onto the Fly Modes with the knowledge that if you need to, that you can fly your Mavic Pro home safely each and every time.

After owning my own DJI Mavic Pro for some time I have gone looking for the best settings for Cinema - esque footage. I have found the following video that covers most of what I have learned.
