Nikon D5300 DSLR Body

July 7th 2018 Update. We have just received notification that a small number of Nikon D5300 bodies are still available. This also means that the D5300 kits can still be made up by us. The D5300 is the entry level alternative to the more expensive Nikon D5600.

November 17th 2017 update. The Nikon D5300 has finally gone for good. I say finally because it was discontinued at least a year ago but Nikon either kept making it or had heaps of stock to shift. The new model is the D5500 and now the D5600 (although many believe that the D5500 is a better camera than the D5600 and at a cheaper price. We have links on this page to both the D5500 and D5600 body, from which you will see the lens kits.

UPDATE October 25th 2017. The remaining stock of the Nikon D5300 will be the last that we get for sale. The Nikon D5300 has been discontinued now for quick some time and it has finally reached the end of it's road.

Update 30th August 2017. The Nikon D5300 is in fact discontinued and you would probably have trouble finding stock in Australia HOWEVER, we have been able to buy some more and we will continue to stock the Nikon D5300 for as long as we are able to supply the stock.

How do you best use your new Nikon D5300? Take a look at the following video.

Tom from our showroom takes you through the Nikon d5300 in this Youtube Video Review.

The Nikon D5000 series of Nikon Cameras is ideal for don't just for any newbie but a decent general Digital slr camera for the entire family as well as the enthusiast. The most up-to-date in the series is the d5500 digital SLR however, if you do not need touchscreen technology then you really can save money by purchasing the d5300 DSLR, to use on some accessories or even perhaps a more desirable lens.

The 24 Mega-pixel Nikon D5300 contains the up-to-the-minute Expeed 4 central processor and they have as many auto and scene mode selections just like the high-priced range of Nikon Digital cameras do last but not least you are able to shoot in manual function on top of that.

You will discover numerous Nikon DX camera lenses to choose from for your D5300 Digital slr not to mention 3rd party lenses like Sigma, Tamron, and Tokina based upon upon your wants. The Nikon twin lens kits are a wonderful start if you find yourself uncertain and if you happen to would just like one lens eg the Nikon 18-140mm to accomplish the majority of things and the optical quality of the lens is a great choice for the selling price and readily available in a package also.

With hindsight its clear that the Nikon d5300 was a superb replacement for the discontinued d5200 d5100 and d5000 Nikon camera bodies. Here is why

Great for a Mothers Day Gift Review by Cherie (staff)
Ease of Use

The D5300 is a fantastic camera for the beginner photographer. It is such a popular seller and would be a terrific gift idea for Mum on Mothers Day.

Thanks for the service Review by Ryan Taylor
Ease of Use

I bought this 3 months ago as a gift for my wife (studying photography) and she absolutely loves it, she said it's easy to use and and her photo's look terrific.

We also bought a filter kit (was suggested to us) to experiment with and to me the shots look professional.

Money well spent.

Many thanks.

Nikon D5300 Review by David(staff)
Ease of Use

The Nikon D5000 series is ideal for beginners, students and a general family camera that I have sold to friends. I have tested this camera with the 18-105 Nikon lens and was impressed with the images. If you are not bothered about touch screen (that the D5500 has) then you will save some money buying the Nikon D5300 Body DSLR Digital Camera. It is packed full of features that some of the more expensive models have and there is a good range of Nikon DX lenses to choose from, and for the price the optical quality is very good.
