Without the addition of a center column, the diameter of a folded Tortoise is just 3.1in (8cm) making it extremely portable and easy to stow in a backpack.

There are two types of Tortoise Series tripods available, one for photo that features a flat platform to mount the head and another for video that features a ball levelling device to mount the head on.

GX30 Dual Panoramic Ball Head
The GX30 ball head is a low-profile head featuring dual panoramic mode, which allows panning head from its base and also from the quick release platform. The controls are simple, with ball friction adjustment built into the main lock knob, plus an independent pan lock. It includes a PU56 quick release plate and features a quick release plate safety lock.
