- Incredible image quality Review by Cory (Staff)
Ease of Use Price Value Quality
This professional series lens is often the choice of those working in both studio and in-field environments.
The sharpness and colour reproduction that this lens offers are astounding as is it's build quality. The price is obviously reflective of the camera's position in the Nikon lens line up. Those looking for a similar quality lens for a lower price are encouraged to consider the Sigma 35mm ART series lens.

- So glad to finally have it in my hands! Review by Kirst All my reviews (1)
Ease of Use Price Value Quality
Only took a couple of weeks, waiting in anticipation to FINALLY get this baby in my hands. Just finished my 4 year full-time job as a photographer for my local paper, and can now take a HUGE step into my freelance career full-time. I bought this beauty along with the 800 in preparation for when i finished work. They go together magically! About to take the journey through Canada in a couple of weeks, and I know this lens will spend a lot of time on the camera. Beautiful lens, stunning quality.

- Nikon AF-S 35mm f/1.4G Lens Review Review by SHAWLW7000 All my reviews (3)
Hopped on a plane to Brisbane and used this lens all Christmas with my D7000. That's what I found best about the lens, portability, suitable to most shots, and great professional quality.
I find it really hard to see differences to the 35mm setting on the 24-70mm professional lens. Sometimes I may see an overall impression of colour and clarity that differs, but both lenses are way too hard for me to compare. Pictures are incredibly rewarding. I have stayed around f/4 on general shots when I don't want to think of changing depth of field etc. I'm not able to comment on specialist shots but the variety I took was considerable for daytime travel, indoor, and night. Not designed of course for curious details of far off planes or sails on the ocean. The weight and length is less than the 24-70mm, which is good for carting around during the day. I wanted to have a good set of more natural views with the approximate 50mm equivalent on the Digital camera, as I was tending to do too many closeups on other lenses. Wonderful lens.
