Tamron Teleconverters

When you use a Teleconverter you gain in the reach of the lens BUT what do you loose? Well usually you suffer in sharpness and you may find that you lens hunts more when trying to focus, for starters. I found this video that has some pretty good side by side comparisons as to sharpness when using the 1.4x and 2.0x teleconverters.

Oh by the way, Teleconverters are also often known as Extenders (for the Canon shooters among us.) and yes they are exactly the same thing.

It is true that the build quality of Tamron lenses has come along in leaps and bounds in the past year or two and these new Tamron Teleconverters are no exception.

To my way of thinking, the new Tamron Teleconverters are screaming out to be put on the Tamron 150-600mm lenses. The Wildlife (imagine this combo on a safari) Photographer and Surfing Photographer are the first that comes to mind.
